So, I expect that in a month or two, when the worst part of winter is over, I’m gonna have to get rid off the mold in my bedroom again. Yes, old buildings and new windows are not a good combination if you don’t take care of proper isolation of the whole house … Anyway, since I already had problems the last time I painted the room – imagine a couple of layers of old paint just falling off the wall (it’s not funny!) – I’m afraid I’ll have to get rid off the wallpaper altogether. Secretly I was hoping I could, because it’s really cheap, awefully textured wallpaper, and it’s not even the same on all the walls. I’m just afraid it’s gonna be a lot of work and dirt and also I’m afraid of what might be underneath all those layers of paint and paper …
But for now I’m trying to concentrate on the part where I’m trying to decide on the new color, because I’m not quite happy with what I’ve tried so far. I started with a baby blue, which turned out different from what I expected. After last winter’s mold I repainted the room gray, because I was hoping it would be neutral, yet elegant. Well, it is and it’s not even that it’s quite dark, which I don’t mind, but I think I need something warmer. I’m thinking medium grayish brown … or light turquoise?
